It was break time. The children ran out of the1 and played with each other happily.
All but poor Davy. He came out last, and very 2 , without a smile. A few boys said something bad about his old shoes. Poor Davy had no father, and his mother only had money for his 3 to keep him at school.
That evening, he went across the fields to go home. He still felt 4 . Just then his teacher came. She saw the little boy, 5 , and asked, "What's wrong, Davy?"
Davy did not speak, but began to 6 . Then he told the teacher all his stories.
"Davy, I have an idea. Would you like to sell 7 ?"
"And make money?" said Davy, "That would be 8 . But where shall I get my flowers?"
"Right in the fields," said the teacher, "Pick and take 9 to school."
Day after day, Davy 10 beautiful flowers in the fields. He soon had money to buy a new pair of shoes. And his teachers and classmates went back home with beautiful flowers every day.
