In China, people also call the Dragon Boat Festival the Double (双) Fifth Festival.Because they it on May 5.th of the lunar calendar.It is one of the most important Chinese. 

The festival is Qu Yuan.He was a great man and he his country very much. the emperor (皇帝) and some people around the emperor didn't like Qu Yuan.So Qu Yuan had no chance (机会) to work his country.He was not about it all the time.At last, he jumped into the Miluo River great sorry.The people near the river to look for him in the river at once.They put rice dumplings into the water to stop the river dragon eating.This is why people have dragon boat races and eat rice dumplings on that day. 

Christmas Day comes on December 25.th. Christian (基督教的) people believe that Jesus Christ was born on this day.It is also the biggest festival in America.Today Christmas Day is not only a time for worship (崇拜) but also a day for fun and celebration, and a time for family and friends to get together.No matter (无论) how far a person is away from his home, he will come back home to get together with his family for the festival.
