Venice International Film Festival, the oldest film festival in the world, was first held in Italy in 1932. It was 14 years (early) than the first Cannes Film Festival in France. 

At the first Venice International Film Festival, there (be) no judges and no prizes at all. Only  list of good films were chosen by the public.  the Venice International Film Festival was first held, the government wanted to hold it every year. But it was cancelled for special (reason) from 1943 to 1945. (lucky), in 1946, the festival became active again. Now the festival becomes very important. 

Venice International Film Festival has provided a great opportunity  people around the world. They can learn about other countries'. cultures by (watch) different kinds of films. Many movie makers send(they) movies to the festival. They would like (have) a seat in this festival.
