Are unusual sports popular? The British seem  (enjoy) unusual sports more than those from most other countries. But the Bog Snorkelling (沼泽浮潜) Championship is one of  (strange) of all sports. It takes place every year in Wales. The  (play) have to swim 110 meters through cold, dark, muddy water—without  (use) their arms! And they have to keep their faces in the water at all times, breathing through a snorkel (呼吸管).

Who would like to take part in a terrible competition like that? Well, in fact more than 100 people join it each year, and many  them are from other  (country). Dan Morgan from Wales is  champion (冠军) of last year. He finished the course in 1 minute and 30 seconds, and he won the  (one) prize.

Is bog snorkelling  (real) so awful? Sheelagh Tompkins, the woman who started the competition, says yes. "It's dark and you can't see, and that's scary." So why do the British enjoy such unusual sports? "Perhaps it's  we have a chance of winning." she said.

(recent), Ding Xiaoyun' s school held a special exhibition with many"ancient artifacts"finišhed by students. She (make) a gold buyao, which looks  an antler(鹿角) with a horse head. It is a type of (woman) headwear(头饰) from a very long time ago, during the Southern and (north) dynasties. People wondered  she made it.

 She made it by (cut) out 10 (leaf), two heads, and three antlers from pieces of copper sheet(铜片) and put them together with iron wires(铁丝) and glue. The hardest part was cutting the copper sheet  it was too thick. Instead of using scissors, she ended up using a knife. It was very hard for ancient people (make) these kinds of decorations.
