There is a  story about an old farmer who kept an old horse for farming. One day the horse  away into the hills, and when all the other  took pity on the old man over his bad luck, the farmer replied,"Bad luck? Good luck? Who knows?"

A week , the horse returned  a lot of wild horses from the hills. This time the neighbors congratulated the farmer on his good luck. His  was still,"Bad luck? Good Luck? Who knows?"

Then when the farmer's son wanted  one of the wild horses, he fell off its back and  his leg. Everyone thought this was very bad luck, but to the farmer, his only reaction(反应) was,"Bad luck? Good luck? Who knows?"

Some weeks later, the army came into the village and made all  men join the army. When they saw the farmer's son with his broken leg, they let him go. Now was that good? Who knows?

This story teaches us that sometimes things may seem bad, but they can  good outcomes(结果). So we need to learn to see both sides of a situation.
