At the beginning of the new term our school student union held an election(选举) Students who wanted to compete for positions went to the school gate early in the morning to attract voters 

I helped my friend to attract students every morning. I had to arrive at school at 6: 50 am, which was 40 minutes earlier than usual. 

It was really tiring since we had to sand here and keep shouting for 40 minutes.  In addition, standing and talking in front of the unfamiliar students made the job more difficult. However, I felt happy when I was invited to help my friend. . 

During lunchtime, we went to give speeches to each class. After school, all the candidates(候选人)went to the playground and took part in activities such as debates and singing contests. All these were to attract votes as well. 

Every time I stood by her, I felt like we were allies(联盟). We would be able to get everything finished smoothly as long as we stood shoulder to shoulder.  Only if we find someone with the same ambition (抱负) as us and who will fight with us can we succeed. 

The election not only gave students a chance to improve their ability to organize, but also deepened the friendship between students. .
