    A new study found that positive men and women have an 11% to 15% longer life on average than those who have little positive thinking. The most positive people likely to live to be 85or older. The study found women with positive mind have 1.5 greater chances of living to be 85 or older and men have 1.7 greater chances of living to that age, compared with negative (消极的) people.

    The study also found that although people have a poor diet, bad habits and do little exercise, being positive to life helps people live longer.

    How would a positive mind help to live a much longer life? "A positive person usually has goals and has the confidence to reach them," the lead researcher Lewina Lee said. "These goals may include healthy habits that lead to a longer life." A positive person is likely to keep a healthier diet, do exercise regularly, have fewer worries and so on. Those are good for health.

    Studies of twins found only about 25% of people positive as a result of genes (基因). Some people are positive because they try to think positively. It shows that you can actually train your brain to be more positive.
